super seed rice crispy treats

These organic rice crispy treats are healthy and very easy to make!

Ingredients

  • 3 oz puffed rice

  • 1/4 cup sunflower seeds

  • 2 tbsp chia seeds

  • 2 tbsp white sesame

  • 6 or more dates (depending on how sweet you want to make it)

  • 2 tbsp almond butter (or any other nut butter such as peanut or cashew)

  • 3-4 tbsp maple syrup

  • sprinkle of slat

Method

To make the bars just blend the dates and the almond butter in a blender until it's like a smooth paste. In a mixing bowl combine all the other ingredients and then add the almond butter date paste. Line a square baking dish (10 1/2" x 6 1/2") with parchment paper and spoon the mass into the dish. The size of the dish depends on how thick you want your bars to be. I prefer them to be thick so I use a smaller dish. Firmly press the mass down, so your bars don't loose shape later when you take them out. Freeze it for about 30 minutes then cut into squares before eating.
Store in the refrigerator - if you haven't eaten it all!
