spicy spirulina & tamari kale chips

Yummy, crunchy chips without any oil? Yes, it’s possible!

Ingredients

  • ½ large bunch of green kale

  • 1 clove of garlic minced

  • ½ inch piece of ginger minced

  • 1 tbsp. nutritional yeast

  • 1 tbsp. tamari

  • 1 tbsp. hemp seeds

  • 1 tsp. maple syrup

  • 1 tsp. spirulina powder

  • ½ tsp. chipotle

Method

  1. Gently rinse the kale, then cut off the hard stems using a knife or scissors.

  2. Chop or tear up the kale into desired size and place into a large mixing bowl.

  3. Add all the remaining ingredients and massage the kale to evenly combine the flavors.

  4. Line a baking tray with parchment paper, then evenly spread out the marinated kale.

  5. Dry in the oven on fan function at 150°C for 3 hours, or until the edges brown.

Let cool before storing in an airtight container.
